Cyanotype (“the App”) is a fully on-device photo app that turns your photos into cyanotype (sun print) style images. The App collects no personal information and sends no data — including your photos — to any external server. No account is required. No AI is used.
The App collects no personally identifiable information whatsoever. The photos you choose, the images you produce, your custom presets and your app settings are all processed and stored only on your device, and neither the developer nor any third party can access them.
Photos are chosen through the standard iOS photo picker. With that mechanism only the single photo you pick is handed to the App, and no permission to your whole photo library is required. When you use “Save to Photos” for a finished image, the App uses add-only (write-only) permission and never reads your existing photos.
All cyanotype processing — tone conversion, development mottling, grain, brush edge and so on — is completed on your device’s own GPU/CPU. Your photos are never sent outside the device. The App works in Airplane Mode.
Buying and restoring the “Toning Set” (a one-time purchase) is handled by Apple’s App Store (StoreKit). Your payment details are managed by Apple and are never obtained or stored by the App. This App Store communication is the only network activity the App performs.
The App uses no advertising SDKs, no analytics SDKs and no tracking technology of any kind. It does not track you and does not obtain the IDFA or any similar identifier. There is no data shared with third parties.
The App keeps no duplicate copy of your original photos. Custom presets can be deleted from inside the App at any time. Deleting the App from your device also deletes all of the data it has stored.
